Marie Antoinette Cake!






Well for some time now I've been dying to do a Marie Antoinette styled cake and it seemed really necessary given the name of the business!

So my third and final entry into last weekend's Cake International competition was in the wedding cake category.




 


This cake is 8 tiers, three of which were gilded in edible gold leaf.

The other 5 tiers were covered in gorgeous shades of pastels. There were then three layers of small pink roses with gilded gold leaves and two large-bloomed pink roses on top.


Even though this cake didn't win any prizes, I think it looks fabulous and I love it!
